Toyota tyre pressures
Toyota Yaris tyre pressure
The tyre pressures Toyota prints in its handbook for each Yaris tyre size, by generation — Yaris Mk4 (XP210) (2020 on) and Yaris Mk3 (XP130) (2011–2020). Find your tyre size on the sidewall, then read across.

Notes from the handbooks
- 175/65R14 82T: Same figure in the 2011 WE (S2), 52E26E (S8) and 2014 (S9) editions.
- 175/70R14 84S: Same figure in S2, S8 and S9.
- 175/65R15 84H: ECO tyre pressure (shown on the tyre-pressure label for some models, 'for optimizing fuel economy'): 250 (2.5, 36) front, 240 (2.4, 35) rear. The 2011 WE edition (S2) prints 230/220 with no ECO figure; S8, S9 and the 2014 Hybrid edition (S10) print the same standard and ECO figures.
- 185/60R15 84H: Handbook also prints a higher figure for driving above 160 km/h (100 mph): 240 (2.4, 35) front, 220 (2.2, 32) rear. Same in S2, S8 (petrol) and S9. The 2014 Yaris Hybrid edition (S10) also prints 220/220 for this size.
- 185/60R15 84H: 52E26E prints a separate rear figure marked '*: Hybrid vehicle'; above 160 km/h 230 (2.3, 33) front, 200 (2.0, 29) rear. The later 2014 Yaris Hybrid edition (S10) prints 220/220 for this size, so the two Toyota editions disagree.
- 185/60R15 84H: ECO tyre pressure (shown on the tyre-pressure label for some models, 'for optimizing fuel economy'): 250 (2.5, 36) front, 240 (2.4, 35) rear.
- 195/50R16 84V: Handbook also prints a higher figure for driving above 160 km/h (100 mph): 240 (2.4, 35) front, 210 (2.1, 30) rear. Same in S8 ('Type G'), S9 and S10; not printed in the 2011 WE edition (S2).
What the handbooks don't say
- The 2012/13 combined Yaris/Yaris Hybrid handbook (S8) gives the Hybrid 185/60R15 a 200 kPa rear figure, but the 2014 Yaris Hybrid handbook (S10) prints 220 kPa rear for the same size; check the door-pillar label.
- Yaris GRMN (205/45R17) and any GR-Sport 17-inch option are not in the handbooks read.
Figures marked "Maker's handbook" link to the maker's own document. "Reported" figures are the maker's, read from a copy we could not get from the maker directly. A figure marked ≈ has been converted from the unit the handbook prints. Nothing here has been checked against your car: if it disagrees with the label on the car, the label wins.

Tyre pressure questions
What tyre pressure should a Toyota Yaris have?
It depends on the tyre size and, on some versions, the engine. For the sizes Toyota lists, the normal-load pressure is 32–41 psi (2.2–2.8 bar) at the front and 29–41 psi (2.0–2.8 bar) at the rear. Find your size in the tables above, and check the tyres cold.
What size tyres does a Toyota Yaris take?
Toyota fitted the Yaris with 175/65 R14, 175/70 R14, 175/65 R15, 185/60 R15, 185/65 R15, 195/50 R16, 195/55 R16 and 205/45 R17, among others, depending on the generation and trim. The size is printed on the side of your tyre; the pressures above are listed by size.
Where is the tyre pressure label on a Toyota Yaris?
On most cars it is on the driver's door pillar or inside the fuel filler flap. It normally gives the same figures as the handbook, which is where the ones on this page come from — if the two ever disagree, go by the label on your car.
