How Suzuki records service data
Suzuki GB uses the Suzuki Motor UK dealer management system. Records are held against the VIN at franchised UK Suzuki dealers with the service date, mileage, service type, line items and dealer code. Coverage through our lookup is limited because Suzuki's UK data feed structure has fewer records than the volume-brand systems. Many UK Suzukis are also serviced at general independents whose records don't flow into the central system. Coverage is digital from approximately 2010 onwards, with the strongest density on the Swift and Vitara (the highest-volume UK Suzukis).
Suzuki models we cover
UK Suzuki models with potential coverage: Swift (Mk3 / Mk4 / Mk5 / Mk6 inc. Sport / Hybrid / All Grip 4x4), Vitara (Mk4 / Mk5 inc. Hybrid / Allgrip), S-Cross (Mk1 / Mk2 inc. Hybrid / Allgrip), Ignis (Mk1 hybrid), Jimny (Mk3 / Mk4 — UK road-legal sales ended 2020 due to emissions, returned as commercial-only 2021), Across (Toyota RAV4 PHEV rebadge), Swace (Toyota Corolla estate rebadge), older Splash, Alto, SX4 and Wagon R+ where on-system. Coverage strongest from 2010 onwards.
Suzuki-specific things to know
Two Suzuki-specific things to know: First, Swift and Vitara are the volume sellers — their UK service records are reasonably consistent at Suzuki dealers, but many examples are serviced at general independents whose records won't appear in our lookup. Second, the Suzuki Across and Swace are rebadged Toyota RAV4 PHEV and Corolla estate respectively, sharing service infrastructure — records typically flow through Toyota's T-DMS at Suzuki-branded dealers; depending on dealer arrangement, may appear under Suzuki or Toyota.
Why check Suzuki service history before buying
Suzuki resale on Swift and Vitara is sensitive to documented dealer history, particularly because the brand competes in budget-conscious segments where buyer demand for verifiable maintenance is high. Workshop-verified service compliance typically adds 8-10% to trade-in value over partial-history equivalents on the higher-volume models. For the new Jimny commercial buyer market, dealer history is important for trade resale.
