Kia tyre pressures
Kia Sportage tyre pressure
The tyre pressures Kia prints in its handbook for each Sportage tyre size, by generation — Sportage Mk5 (NQ5) (2022 on), Sportage Mk4 (QL) (2015–2022) and Sportage Mk3 (SL) (2010–2016). Find your tyre size on the sidewall, then read across.

The handbook lists these sizes but prints no pressures for them — use the label on the car.
What the handbooks don't say
- No European edition of the NQ5 handbook was found. The en_GB web manuals on ownersmanual.kia.com (2022 'NQ5', 2023 'NQ5_STD_LHD_General_23MY', 2024 'NQ5_ICE_LHD_24MY', 2025) are general-market editions (engines Smartstream G2.0, G2.5 GDi, D2.0 - not sold in the UK) and print 235/65R17, 235/60R18 and 235/55R19 at 2.4 bar all round; the European Sportage (1.6 T-GDi, HEV, PHEV) is a different, shorter car and those figures are not carried over.
- Kia UK's current specification page names 17/18/19-inch alloys per trim but prints no tyre sizes; the UK quick reference guide prints no pressures.

Figures marked "Maker's handbook" link to the maker's own document. "Reported" figures are the maker's, read from a copy we could not get from the maker directly. A figure marked ≈ has been converted from the unit the handbook prints. Nothing here has been checked against your car: if it disagrees with the label on the car, the label wins.

Tyre pressure questions
What tyre pressure should a Kia Sportage have?
It depends on the tyre size and, on some versions, the engine. For the sizes Kia lists, the normal-load pressure is 33–35 psi (2.3–2.4 bar) at the front and 33–35 psi (2.3–2.4 bar) at the rear. Find your size in the tables above, and check the tyres cold.
What size tyres does a Kia Sportage take?
Kia fitted the Sportage with 215/70 R16, 225/60 R17, 225/55 R18, 235/55 R18 and 245/45 R19, depending on the generation and trim. The size is printed on the side of your tyre; the pressures above are listed by size.
Where is the tyre pressure label on a Kia Sportage?
On most cars it is on the driver's door pillar or inside the fuel filler flap. It normally gives the same figures as the handbook, which is where the ones on this page come from — if the two ever disagree, go by the label on your car.
When should I use the fully laden pressures?
When the car is carrying a full load — every seat taken, a full boot or a trailer. For everyday driving use the normal figures.
