Kia tyre pressures
Kia Ceed tyre pressure
The tyre pressures Kia prints in its handbook for each Ceed tyre size, by generation — Ceed Mk3 (CD, incl. Sportswagon) (2018 on) and Cee'd Mk2 (JD, incl. Sportswagon) (2012–2018). Find your tyre size on the sidewall, then read across.

Notes from the handbooks
- 195/65R15 91H: High-speed driving (over 100 mph / 160 km/h) pressure printed separately: 2.75 bar (40 psi, 275 kPa) front and rear. The 2021-2022 MY web edition prints the same figures and defines normal load as 'up to 3 persons'.
- 195/65R15 91H: High-speed figure for this row is marked '2.75 *3' with two different '*3' footnotes printed ('In order to drive at high speed...' and 'Except Russia'). The 2021-2022 MY web edition prints the same figures and defines normal load as 'up to 3 persons'.
- 205/55R16 91H: High-speed driving (over 100 mph / 160 km/h) pressure printed separately: 2.75 bar (40 psi, 275 kPa) front and rear. The 2021-2022 MY web edition prints the same figures and defines normal load as 'up to 3 persons'.
- 225/45R17 91V or 91W: High-speed driving (over 100 mph / 160 km/h) pressure printed separately: 2.75 bar (40 psi, 275 kPa) front and rear. Load table lists LI 91 with speed symbol V or W. The 2021-2022 MY web edition prints the same figures and defines normal load as 'up to 3 persons'.
- 225/40ZR18 92Y: High-speed driving (over 100 mph / 160 km/h) pressure printed separately: 2.75 bar (40 psi, 275 kPa) front and rear. The 2021-2022 MY web edition prints the same figures and defines normal load as 'up to 3 persons'.
What the handbooks don't say
- Two different pressure sets are printed for 195/65R15 with no label saying which trim/engine each belongs to (in the web edition the second row's high-speed figures carry '*4' high-speed and '*5 Except Russia' marks); the door-pillar label is the tie-breaker.
- Ceed GT / ProCeed: the web edition's table is headed '5 Door, Wagon, Shooting brake', so ProCeed is covered by the same table; no separate GT row is printed.

What the handbooks don't say
- Only the 18MY (post-2015 facelift) handbook was read; 2012-2015 figures assumed but not verified.
Figures marked "Maker's handbook" link to the maker's own document. "Reported" figures are the maker's, read from a copy we could not get from the maker directly. A figure marked ≈ has been converted from the unit the handbook prints. Nothing here has been checked against your car: if it disagrees with the label on the car, the label wins.

Tyre pressure questions
What tyre pressure should a Kia Ceed have?
It depends on the tyre size and, on some versions, the engine. For the sizes Kia lists, the normal-load pressure is 32–36 psi (2.2–2.5 bar) at the front and 32–36 psi (2.2–2.5 bar) at the rear. Find your size in the tables above, and check the tyres cold.
What size tyres does a Kia Ceed take?
Kia fitted the Ceed with 195/65 R15, 205/55 R16, 225/45 R17 and 225/40 R18, depending on the generation and trim. The size is printed on the side of your tyre; the pressures above are listed by size.
Where is the tyre pressure label on a Kia Ceed?
On most cars it is on the driver's door pillar or inside the fuel filler flap. It normally gives the same figures as the handbook, which is where the ones on this page come from — if the two ever disagree, go by the label on your car.
When should I use the fully laden pressures?
When the car is carrying a full load — every seat taken, a full boot or a trailer. For everyday driving use the normal figures.
