What the handbooks don't say
- Earlier (2019-2021) e-Niro editions not separately verified.
Figures marked "Maker's handbook" link to the maker's own document. "Reported" figures are the maker's, read from a copy we could not get from the maker directly. A figure marked ≈ has been converted from the unit the handbook prints. Nothing here has been checked against your car: if it disagrees with the label on the car, the label wins.

Tyre pressure questions
What tyre pressure should a Kia Niro have?
It depends on the tyre size and, on some versions, the engine. For the sizes Kia lists, the normal-load pressure is 36 psi (2.5 bar) at the front and 36 psi (2.5 bar) at the rear. Find your size in the tables above, and check the tyres cold.
What size tyres does a Kia Niro take?
Kia fitted the Niro with 205/60 R16, 215/55 R17 and 225/45 R18, depending on the generation and trim. The size is printed on the side of your tyre; the pressures above are listed by size.
Where is the tyre pressure label on a Kia Niro?
On most cars it is on the driver's door pillar or inside the fuel filler flap. It normally gives the same figures as the handbook, which is where the ones on this page come from — if the two ever disagree, go by the label on your car.
When should I use the fully laden pressures?
When the car is carrying a full load — every seat taken, a full boot or a trailer. For everyday driving use the normal figures.
