What the handbooks don't say
  • Only the 2022 and 2025 (facelift) UK handbooks were read for the standard i30; the 2017-2020 pre-facelift figures were not verified.
  • The i30 N rows come from the i30 N handbook edition that includes DCT (2021 facelift onwards); the 2017-2020 manual-only i30 N edition was not read. The i30 N's compact spare is T125/70 R18, 420 (4.2, 60).

What the handbooks don't say
  • One edition read; whether the i30 Tourer/Coupe or the 2015 facelift differ is not separately verified.

i30 Mk1 (FD) (2007–2012)

The handbook lists these sizes but prints no pressures for them — use the label on the car.

What the handbooks don't say
  • No FD i30 handbook is listed on Hyundai UK's owner's-manual page (it starts at the GD i30), and none was found on Hyundai's asset host. Sizes and pressures not recorded.

Figures marked "Maker's handbook" link to the maker's own document. "Reported" figures are the maker's, read from a copy we could not get from the maker directly. A figure marked ≈ has been converted from the unit the handbook prints. Nothing here has been checked against your car: if it disagrees with the label on the car, the label wins.

Tyre pressure questions

What tyre pressure should a Hyundai i30 have?

It depends on the tyre size and, on some versions, the engine. For the sizes Hyundai lists, the normal-load pressure is 32–39 psi (2.2–2.7 bar) at the front and 32–36 psi (2.2–2.5 bar) at the rear. Find your size in the tables above, and check the tyres cold.

What size tyres does a Hyundai i30 take?

Hyundai fitted the i30 with 195/65 R15, 205/55 R16, 225/45 R17, 225/40 R18 and 235/35 R19, depending on the generation and trim. The size is printed on the side of your tyre; the pressures above are listed by size.

Where is the tyre pressure label on a Hyundai i30?

On most cars it is on the driver's door pillar or inside the fuel filler flap. It normally gives the same figures as the handbook, which is where the ones on this page come from — if the two ever disagree, go by the label on your car.

When should I use the fully laden pressures?

When the car is carrying a full load — every seat taken, a full boot or a trailer. For everyday driving use the normal figures.
