What the handbooks don't say
- Main figures are from the latest online edition (variant 8440, no build dates printed). Intermediate editions (variants 7464/7665/8022/8256) print the same figures for the sizes they share; the ST table in variant 6888 prints full load 2.3 (33)/2.3 (33) for 215/50R17 where later editions print 2.4 (35)/2.4 (35).

What the handbooks don't say
- Main table is the 2015-facelift edition (no build dates printed). The 2013-14 edition (variant 3095, vehicles built from 22-04-2013) prints the same bar figures with 2.1 bar shown as 31 psi rather than 30, and covers the 2.0L EcoBoost ST in a separate table (215/55 R16, 215/50 R17 2.4 (35) all round, full load rear 2.8 (41); 235/40 R18 2.4 (35) all round).
- 2011-2012 handbook editions were not found online.
Figures marked "Maker's handbook" link to the maker's own document. "Reported" figures are the maker's, read from a copy we could not get from the maker directly. A figure marked ≈ has been converted from the unit the handbook prints. Nothing here has been checked against your car: if it disagrees with the label on the car, the label wins.

Tyre pressure questions
What tyre pressure should a Ford Focus have?
It depends on the tyre size and, on some versions, the engine. For the sizes Ford lists, the normal-load pressure is 30–41 psi (2.1–2.8 bar) at the front and 30–38 psi (2.1–2.6 bar) at the rear. Find your size in the tables above, and check the tyres cold.
What size tyres does a Ford Focus take?
Ford fitted the Focus with 195/65 R16, 205/55 R16, 205/60 R16, 215/55 R16, 215/50 R17, 215/55 R17, 215/50 R18 and 235/40 R18, among others, depending on the generation and trim. The size is printed on the side of your tyre; the pressures above are listed by size.
Where is the tyre pressure label on a Ford Focus?
On most cars it is on the driver's door pillar or inside the fuel filler flap. It normally gives the same figures as the handbook, which is where the ones on this page come from — if the two ever disagree, go by the label on your car.
When should I use the fully laden pressures?
When the car is carrying a full load — every seat taken, a full boot or a trailer. For everyday driving use the normal figures.
