How do I find my car's service history online?
How It Works
Three Simple Steps
Enter Your Registration
Type in your vehicle registration number (VRM) — it takes seconds.
We Check Official Records
We query manufacturer dealership databases — the same systems used by franchised dealers.
Receive Your Report In Minutes
Most reports land in your inbox within minutes of payment — full digital service history, ready to download or print.
Why Trust Us
Verification, not guesswork
Service history is only useful if the data is real. Here's what we do — and don't do — to keep it that way.
Official manufacturer systems, not scraped data
We query the same official UK manufacturer databases franchised dealerships use. No third-party aggregators, no scraped sources — the records you see are the records a main dealer would see.
Honest about what we can and can't find
2 in 3 of the vehicles we check return official records. If a car has only been serviced at independent garages, those records usually aren't in manufacturer systems — and we tell you that upfront, not after payment.
You don't pay unless we find records
Your card is authorised at checkout but not charged. If we find nothing, the authorisation is cancelled — not refunded, never taken. No refund admin, no waiting for money to come back.
Coverage grows with the manufacturers
Full dealer records for BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Ford, Toyota, Volkswagen and many more — plus partial coverage (workshop remarks or limited data) for many others. New brands added as manufacturers open their systems. Tier shown for the entered VRM before you spend.

What We Don't Check
We believe in being upfront about what our service covers — and what it doesn't.
Independent Garage Records
We only access franchised dealership systems. Services performed at independent workshops are not included in our reports.
HPI / Finance Checks
We do not check outstanding finance, write-off status, stolen flags, or insurance claims. For this, use a dedicated HPI-style service.
Private Sale History
Ownership transfer details and keeper history are not part of this service. We focus exclusively on service records.
Warranty Claims
Manufacturer warranty claims are tracked separately from service records and may not appear in our reports.

Data is returned in a minimal proportion of cases. Results depend on individual vehicle records and manufacturer system availability.
If no service history is found for your vehicle, your card is not charged — regardless of the brand's coverage level.
Reports are typically delivered to your email within minutes of payment. In rare cases, it may take up to a few hours depending on the manufacturer system response time.
No. Your card is authorised at checkout but not actually charged. If we find service history we capture the payment; if we find nothing we cancel the authorisation — you're never charged, no refund admin. Not all vehicles have electronically recorded service history, particularly older models manufactured before 2012.
We access data directly from Original Equipment (OE) manufacturer databases — the same systems used by franchised dealerships. This means the records are official and verified. MOT data comes directly from the DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency).
A full service history check costs £9.99 for a one-off report. However, your card is authorised but not charged unless records are found — so you only pay when we find data. You can also check a vehicle's MOT history for free on the DVSA website, though this doesn't include service records.
No. An HPI check covers finance, insurance write-offs, and stolen vehicle markers. A service history check focuses specifically on whether the vehicle was serviced at manufacturer dealerships and what work was recorded. They check different things and are complementary — neither replaces the other.
No. For a standard one-off check, you simply enter your vehicle registration, your email, and proceed to payment. No account is required. Dealer accounts are only needed for the discounted dealer programme.
The dealer programme offers motor traders a discounted per-check rate. Sign up for a free dealer account to get started. Once registered, you get access to a dashboard where you can run checks and view your full check history.
Yes. We use Stripe for payment processing (PCI-DSS compliant) and do not store your card details. Your email and vehicle details are only used to deliver your report and are handled in accordance with our privacy policy.
Are you a motor trader? See trade pricing — checks as low as £2.81 with a monthly plan, or £4.99 pay-as-you-go.
