  • MY2015 handbook prints A17DTF 205/60 R16 full-load pressures as 240/2.4 (35) / 280/2.8 (41) for the 5-door and saloon but 260/2.6 (38) / 300/3.0 (43) for the Sports Tourer - recorded as printed.
  • The GTC sold as a carry-over model after 2015 was not checked against the later GTC-only handbooks.

What tyre pressure should a Vauxhall Astra have?

It depends on the tyre size and, on some versions, the engine. For the sizes Vauxhall lists, the normal-load pressure is 30–41 psi (2.1–2.8 bar) at the front and 30–39 psi (2.1–2.7 bar) at the rear. Find your size in the tables above, and check the tyres cold.

What size tyres does a Vauxhall Astra take?

Vauxhall fitted the Astra with 195/65 R15, 205/55 R16, 205/60 R16, 205/65 R16, 215/55 R16, 215/60 R16, 215/50 R17 and 225/45 R17, among others, depending on the generation and trim. The size is printed on the side of your tyre; the pressures above are listed by size.

Where is the tyre pressure label on a Vauxhall Astra?

On most cars it is on the driver's door pillar or inside the fuel filler flap. It normally gives the same figures as the handbook, which is where the ones on this page come from — if the two ever disagree, go by the label on your car.

When should I use the fully laden pressures?

When the car is carrying a full load — every seat taken, a full boot or a trailer. For everyday driving use the normal figures.
