SEAT service history check — official dealer records

Type the car's UK registration into the form on this page. We ask SEAT's dealer system for every visit logged against that car and show them in date order, usually within a few minutes. It costs £9.99, and the card is only charged if records come back.

Each visit a franchised SEAT workshop logged against the car, listed by date: the odometer reading, the work carried out and the dealer who did it. Recall and warranty visits appear alongside routine servicing. The car's full MOT history is in the same report, so you can compare the service mileages with the readings taken at each test.

Usually because the servicing was done at independent garages, which don't write to SEAT's system, or because it was done before the dealer network kept digital records. A book full of independent stamps can be perfectly genuine; it just has to be backed by the paperwork rather than by the dealer system. If we find nothing, your card isn't charged.

No. The UK registration is all we need: no log-in, no ownership documents and no contact with the seller. That's why people use it before they buy, to compare what the seller says with what SEAT's dealers recorded.

Put the dates and readings side by side and look at the spacing. SEAT follows VW Group servicing. Intervals differ by engine and model year, so the handbook has the exact figure for a given car. A gap much longer than the schedule is worth asking the seller about: it may have been an independent service with an invoice in the folder, or it may have been missed. The MOT readings in the same report fill in the mileage between visits.

Sometimes, if you are the keeper. A SEAT dealer will often print the history at the service desk if you bring the car's documents, and some SEAT owner apps show recent visits for the car linked to your account. Neither helps a buyer looking at someone else's car, and we know of no public SEAT website that shows the whole record. Our £9.99 check needs only the UK registration, and the card is only charged if records are found.

CUPRA split off as a standalone marque in 2018. Pre-2018 CUPRA-badged SEAT records (e.g. Leon Cupra) can usually be retrieved under either SEAT or CUPRA in the dealer system because they were originally logged as SEAT.

Yes. DSG transmission fluid changes (required at 40,000 miles on most wet-clutch DSGs and 80,000 miles on the 7-speed DQ381; the dry DQ200 has none scheduled) appear as specific line items in SEAT dealer records.

Same as the rest of VW Group: Fixed is 12-month / 10,000-mile cap; LongLife uses an oil sensor and extends to 2 years / 20,000 miles. The schedule determines how the interval pattern should be read.

SEAT resale is sensitive to documented FSH, particularly because SEAT competes in price-sensitive volume segments. FSH typically adds 8-10% to trade-in value — a higher percentage of the car's overall price than at premium brands.
